I love doing things with old windows, and doors. This 8 pane window became a huge piece of art by blowing up one of my photos of Sanibel Island into 8 printable pages which I attached to the back of this window.
A special shout of THANKS to the graphics fairey for mentioning how to turn a simple photograph into a poster size work of art, by directing me to blockposters.com
Here it is once finished, hanging in the vintage shop
(excuse the glare there is a huge chandelier nearby spreading it's glory!)
The next project I had a ball with was the coffee table I made from another old window. It came out exactly as I saw it in my head.
I love it's beachy and vintage cottage vibe!
I gave it some legs from home depot and painted the whole thing in a distressed look.
The window was already greatly distressed, so the challenge was to get it cleaned up and slathered with a fresh coat of distressing to match the finish of the legs I'd created.
As much as I wanted to keep it, low and behold it went off to the vintage shop,

All ready for some crab dip!
